The Company
SICOM S.p.a., was incorporated in 1975 as an ISO container manufacturer for the domestic market mainly.
During the following years, the ISO container range had been considerably enhanced to include all steel types while at same time commercial efforts allowed to broaden the customers base that includes major world wide Shipping Lines and Containers Lessors, Intermodal Operators and Forwarder Company.
Since 1994 products range consisting of Open Top container, Dry box container, Flat racks, Ventilated containers, Open Side, was then enlarged to Dry bulks and Swap bodies.
Current Swap-body range includes 7,15 – 7,45 – 7,82 – 13,60 – 45’ steel and curtain side units.
SICOM Spa range of products includes also special containers and shelters designed and developed on demand and based on customers needs.
All production processes are covered by the ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance.
Average production during last few years was around 18.500 TEU per annum achieved with a workforce of 150 workers.
SICOM Spa plant, provided with own rail connection and terminal , with a covered area 130.000 sqm, is located in Cherasco (CN), 60 km. south of Turin strategical position for both road and rail transports.
